my story huh...well lets see as far as i can remember i have always been a big girl. Even in my kindagarden pictures i was really chubby all the way up until now. I have always had to deal with people making fun of me which still continues today. Nothing was ever easy for me becuase of how big i have always been. I really missed out on my childhood. I couldnt go to fairs and carnivals or anything along those lines becuase i wouldnt fit, i couldnt go to school dances becuase no one wanted to be seen with me and the constant torment from my peers was to much for me, and even today social gatherings are nightmares becuase there is always one smarta$$ who has to comment that all the food will be gone in 5 seconds or something along those lines. people really take for granted what they can do, little things like going up and down stairs, doing activites no matter what they are, or even trying to find a job that is possible to do without having major pains after a short time. i have spent most of my time by myself just staying away from people becuase of everything that has happened to me. when i was 16 my mom started telling me about the lapband and gastric bypass. we tried for 3 years to get me approved by insurance for either of the surgeries with no luck. when i turned 20 i finally found a job that i could stand doing and started looking into the possiblity of wls again. after being denied several times and almost 2 years later i finally was approved.
so long story short, after years of humiliation rejection and torment here i am today offically banded as of 12/20/07 down over 100 lbs and looking to finally start my life. i totally sympathize with people who have went through the exact same thing and i really wish no one would have to deal with any of that and worse. so i guess this really is a new beginning for me and im really thankful to have gotten a second chance.
