Ok this is my story..... I had gastric bypass in 2003 when my highest weight was 359 lbs I had high blood pressure and was just tired of every doctor telling me that I needed to lose weight....Hey its easier said than done !!!!! but it really hit home when I saw "Morbidly Obese and Will Discussed" on my doctors chart....I was like WTH!!!!! we didn't discuss anything about me dying!!!!! as far as I was concerned I was as healthy as anyone else...I was still active and I felt like I could do what anyone else could.  Then a co worker of mine that I hadn't seen in sometime had lost so much weight and she confided in me that she had had gastric bypass and basically held my hand through every step of the process.  So after I had the gastric bypass I felt like "skinny me here I come" and the weight start coming off...I ran in the corporate challenge that my job sponsored every year I was on top of the world that is until the weight loss stopped at 273lbs. WHAT!!!!!!It then became a struggle for me I started going to a medical weight loss center and with medicine and lots of execrise I was able to get down to 247lbs  but as soon as I stop taking the medicine my weight shot right back up   that was 2yrs ago and I'm still back and forth with the nutritionist.  Then a year ago my PCP put me back on the high blood pressure medicine and after 6 months doubled the dose and told me I was borderline diabetic and needed to see a Endocrinologist  OK enuff is enuff  I decided to see if there was anything I could do to stop the yo-yo dieting I had gotten up to 269lbs and was feeling horrible  so I rejoined my old friends here on OH and found out about Revision and after so many people giving me such wonderful advice decided to go for the DS.  I found a wonderful doctor that was really understanding I had my first consult with him 2/24 it went great so because I had been with my nutritionist for so long I didn't have to do the six month thing and I'm all ready to submit to the insurance.  The doctor thought the DS would be good for me because it had the best results in the long term. He thought that with that surgery I could easily get down to 160-165lbs  in 18 months and maintain it So that's me!!!!
