My name is Camille.  I have been over weight for most of my life and I have done just about everything you can think of to lose the weight.  Some of the things helped get off some of the weight and then I got to a stand still and would not lose anymore and others didn't' work at all.  They were a waste of money for me.  About 5 years ago a doctor advise me to try to have the gastric bypass ASAP.  I thought they were crazy to say something like that to me in the tone the said it.  A few years later I decided to ask a different doctor for their suggestions to help me lose weight.  They gave some good suggestions that made sense,  he did also mentioned the gastric bypass, but only as a final option.  Because this doctor was sincere in making the suggestion as a last option I looked into the surgery.  He gave me the name of one of the best surgeon's in bariatrics in the area.  I went to the class and was very impresses with the doctor and his staff.  The answered so many of the question I had and help he feel better about the surgery.  I decided to go through with the surgery and the next thing you know I lost my job and my benefits.  But god was truly on my side because within 2 weeks I received a call about a new job in a new state the paid more money and had better benefits.  I found out that this job offered even better insurance coverage for the surgery and would cover it 100% were as my other job would only cover 80%.  So I went through all the test required.  I even had to do a 6 month monitored weight lose program. My primary care doctor was one of my biggest cheer leaders and still is to this day.  She helped me get many of the test done right away.  The first time the surgeon submitted my claim to the insurance company they declined me and neither myself or my doctors could under stand why.  Thankfully my primary care does not take no for an answer and she interjected.  We latter found out that there was just one piece of documentation left out of the packet that was sent over the the insurance.  After the received that form,  The approved me within a week.  It was a long road, but I have finally made it to the big game. I can't wait until I can start living life to the fullest.
