...I called my surgeon's office first thing yesterday morning ( monday) and talked to his nurse about the difficulties I was having keeping food down, and that even soft foods like yogurt were not staying put......she called me back after talking with Dr. Rupp and the scheduled me for an immediate, Gastroscopy with dialation ( stretching the opening between my pouch and new intestine) Sometimes when a person is healing scar tissue builds up and closes the opening ...in my case  to the size of a "pencil lead." I was super curious about the entire thing...I asked to see the photos they took of inside my pouch, you could not even see the opening. I will say it was not the most pleasant procedure, but simple and the staff were amazing.( United Hospital ST. Paul MN).  I have to have the procedure repeated on Wednesday as he needs to stretch it a little bit more.  The results were immediate, I was able to drink water and keep it down without feeling nauseous, and this morning for the first time i a couple weeks..I am enjoying my breakfast!!!  woohoo!!
