Hugs to everyone......I am having my own personal celebration today! It is my 9 month anniversary of my surgery, and of my brand new healthy life!!!!! I officially have lost more weight than I weigh......a feat I never ever ever thought would be actualized woohoo!! I weigh in at 156.4 pounds with a start weight of 319. This is something that I know would not have happened without the tool of gastric by pass.
I am learning so much about myself in all ways...emotionally, spiritually and physically on this journey. I have learned to concentrate on the positive, (all things are possible after loosing over 150 pounds) and to leave the negitive "under the bridge". Something that I struggled with for a lifetime...like a dog with a bone..LOL
I have wasted too much of my life carrying negitive stuff, negtive stuff was translated physically into pounds around my middle.Learning to set down the negitivity, and to leave it behind perhaps to a higher power to deal with. Learning to approach situations from a positive stand point has made such a difference in my life.
It almost feels like coming out of a cocoon, as the layers peel away. With new eyes, I greet each day positively feeling healthy and more energetic. I treat myself better, being kinder and gentler in my self talk. Taking this second chance at life and really living. I will always remember the past and honor it even though I realize now that I was dying. Without remembering my past it would be difficult to celebrate the present and how much life has changed!!!!!!!!!
