Well, today is June 7/08 and I am exactly 16 days away from surgery.  Have had some serious nerves, then ok, then nerves, then ok ... now, it's just "let's get the show on the road"!!!!   I have passport, pesos, bags pretty well packed.  Doesn't mean I still don't need prayers!!  But feeling as if the good Lord has put everything together for me, right down to every detail.  Praise God!!

I start the pre-op diet on the 12th.  Wish me luck! 

Well, after many many agonizing years of being an obese person, I have decided that June 2008 will be the day!  I am going to trade in my big 'ol clunky van that houses my body and go for the lean, efficient smart car!!! I realize it will be a journey ... I am really used to occupying large spaces and driving around in this heavy vehicle I call a body.  But I want to be smart!  I understand it will take a while to get used to fitting in a smart car and there will be lots of adjustments as I get used to driving it around & occupying less space, but OH AM I READY! Finally ... I am truly ready to draw that massive line in the sand and say NO MORE to the old Colleen and hello to a healthier, more confident, less ashamed Colleen.  I can't wait to see how she develops into who she was meant to be in the first place!


My surgery date is June 23/08 in Tijuana, Mexico with Dr. Lopez Corvala.  I'm not "taking the plunge"; I'm about to do a magnificent double twist off of the "high" board and immersing myself in the new waters of freedom!

Having trouble with my profile ... uploaded a bunch of pics then lost them!!!  Oh computers are NOT my bag!!
