Hello OH Family,

Sorry its been forever since ihave been on here !!  Well I'm doing good for the most part, I go for my 9 month post op checkup next Thursday (09.30.10), to see how much ihave actually lost since June.  In June iwas down 140 lbs., but ihave been at a stall.  Eventhough idon't weigh ican just tell. iHave been slacking in the exercise area, which iam now getting back on track.  Well iam off the Coumadin (yaay).  The bloodclots have dissolved.  I'm comfortably in a 18 from a 28/30 in jeans.  I'm def getting omg you have lost so much weight what are you doing...lol  Or you look so different now??, but you were still pretty before too lol!!

Hello OH Fam,

Okay well for the past week ihave been experiencing slight to mild nausea  no vomitting though.  iFinally called the dr. on Friday and he told me to come in today.  He thinks that is either Keytones, and told me to start taking my Prilosec everyday.  It also could be an ulcer or gastritis ??  iHave to be scheduled for an upper GI this week.  So my 3 month is coming up next week, so instead of me coming back since ilive 50 miles from his office, he did my 3 month today.  

Drum roll....i'm down 68 lbs  my 3 month anniversay is March 29th .  Yay I'm happy with the weight loss, but annoyed with being sick all the time. The nutritionist told me to stop drinking the protein drinks for 2 days to see if I'm loctose intolerance because that might be causing the nausea.  So pray for me ya'll; iknow iwill get through this with faith and prayers !!

Thought iwould do an update since its been a while since ihave been on here.  Well last week iwas admitted to the hospital  because ihave blood clots in both lungs .  Right now I'm on blood thinners for 6 months, nd ihave to go to the Coumadin clinic 2 x a week.  It was a scary situation, before iwent to the ER iwas experiencing shortness of breath nd chest pains.

As the morning went on ithought maybe it would go away, but it got worsed.  So my husband drove me to the ER nd they did a CT scan nd found the blood clots in my lungs.  Right now I'm doing better, nd just thanking GOD every chance iget.  On Thursday was my 1 month post op checkup nd ihave lost 32 lbs .  My nutristionist moved me a stage in foods, happy about that.  iHave a better selection to choose from....Well till next time

I'm finally home from my RYN, and to tell you the truth iwasn't expecting the pain to be this bad.  The meds do help, but  ialso had my gallbladder removed and is surffering from the terrible gas pain.  iHave been walking to try to eliminate the pain but that is not working so well.  The puree food is disgusting...yuk.  But ihave to do what I have to do, the Unjury Vanilla protein shake is the best by far that ican tolerate.  iTried Vitalady's dutch chocolate and it didn't go to well.  I'm gonna hang in there, my staples should be removed in 5-7 days, since tomorrow is New's Years iwill call the office on Monday to make an appointment.  Sometimes iget hungry, which ithink is just head hungry because after a couple of bites of something I'm full.  Until next time...

Tomorrow is my big day, please keep me in your prayers.  iKnow everything will be fine, I'm little scared, nervous, happy, I'm a little bit of everything.  iCan't wait for the new healthier me....move ova loser bench here icome...

Finally; I'm approved .  I'm so escatic right now!!  Yaaaay; igot the call on December 3rd, and I'm scheduled for surgery on December 29th.  iHad my nutritional class on December 2nd...so everything is going according to plan.  Now ihave to schedule all my tests before surgery.  Super happy !!

iCalled Aetna today to check the status & they told me that the case was just opened yesterday.  They told me to try back in a couple of days, but it could take up to 15 days.  So iguess iwill try to call them again next week.  Hoping & praying that iget the answer that ihave been waiting for...

Guess what???  I've finished my 3 month program with Aetna today...Today was my last appointment with the physical therapist!  My nutritionist told me that she will have all my paperwork documented and ready to send to Aetna no later than Monday, and ishould hear something from them in about a week or two.  Now here goes the hard part...(waiting for the approval letter) .

So imet today with my nutritionist, almost done with the program, one more week....yaaayy !!  Next week imeet with the physical therapist for the last time.  Then all my paperwork will be submitted to Aetna.  My nutritionist says I'm doing a great job.  She is very happy that I'm on the right track before surgery.  So the next time imeet with her is for the nutritional class in December.  iMust say these three months have went by fast, so now I'm more anxious   than nervous , but I'm sure that will change once iget approved & closer to my date....

Today imet with the nutritionist , and went over some more bahavorial goals for this month.  iNeed to start drinking 64+ oz. of water per day , eating and no drinking, and use longer time to eat meals.  She told me to continue to take my multi-vitamin along with Omega-3 and Viactiv (calcium chews).  I'm also taking Repliva because my iron levels are soooo low.  iWill meet with her again next month for the last meeting before she submits all my paperwork to the insurance.  I'm getting so nervous and time goes by....
