Eating real food now

Yeah...my latest challenge is learning how to eat slowly...which I have never done a day in my life.  If I eat slowly then my body knows when it's full and doesn't bypass the triggers.  Holy mackerel, if I eat too fast, I eat too much, then I'm wanting to vomit and feeling generally lousy.  How long do you think this 50 year old will take to learn this?  We'll see, because I hate to puke.
