Hello everyone! My name is Dagian. I am 27 and live in Laguna Hills, California. I work in the billing office of a hospital in Orange County. It took me about a year to really be ok with the idea of having surgery. I figured I should give weight loss on my own one more good college try. Once that didn't work I really started to honestly consider surgery. I really had tried just about everything that I could think of in the past to loose weight. I've done WeightWatchers, worked with personal trainers and nutritionists, I was even on Fen Phen in high school.
I started my surgery process on Jan 31, 2008 and by the beginning of March I had my surgery date. I have to admit it kinda freaked me out when it all happened so fast but I look at it this way it must have been meant to be! It also helps that I have a very support family.
My biggest support is my husband Aaron. This will be his second time going through this so he is well prepared to help me thought it all. I'm sure most people say that there husbands are the greatest but mine really is. I was afraid that he wouldn't be all that happy about me having this surgery but he has been nothing but supportive of me and my decision. We have been together almost 4 years and have been married one year. We got married on the craziest day of 2007 at the craziest place to do it... That's right we got married on 7-7-7 in Las Vegas, NV but I wouldn't have changed it for anything.
My other supporters are my mom and dad. My mom acutally had the surgery two weeks after I did. I think I must have inspired her. I made her come with me to the Doctor Talk and after the meeting she decided that surgery was something she should do.
