Hi, my name is Heidi and I am the proud wife of Jeff, and mother of two beautiful children with him named Zoey, 5, and Sophie, 21/2. I also have a step-daughter who is 18 who is out of the house and working for the most part. She has moved to another part of the state, and although she is close to her mom and dad, we have kind of a rocky relationship at times, although I adore her (at times :) She has always felt her mom and dad might have gotten back together had it not been for me. This never would have happened, but this is what a lot of kids think. She can at times be a wonderful young lady, and at other times makes some bad choices and has to be bailed out. Whatever the case we love her. Her name is Samantha (or Sam). We also have a Jack Russel Terrier named Max who we adore.
I have a wonderful life. I retired from being a secretary at the University of Tennessee over 5 years ago when I became pregnant with Zoey. I had taken my time having babies, and I'm very glad that I did. I enjoyed my job while I had it and I'm now a SAHM who loves being with her children. My husband works for/or with law enforcement in a private capacity. He is not a policeman, or anything slightly remote, but I also am not at liberty to discuss his job. I'm just proud of the way he serves his city/state.
I had lap banding surgery over 1 1/2 years ago. It will be two years in June to be honest, and wow the time has flown. I have lost 120 lbs. and am at goal. It has been incredible, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have an RNY friend who is 4 years out, and she has done incredibly well. She is my best friend and exercise partner, as is my hubby. I rarely go to the gym because I have a bike, treadmill, etc. at home. I also love working out to DVD's. Dancing is something I love whether for exercise or enjoyment.
I joined Oh at the urging of my good RNY friend, and sadly have had to make my profile private to my friends, because I was sadly attacked by some women who seem to think I am someone else. I can assure you I have never belonged to OH before, and never thought I would have to use the block button on anyone, but I have now done it several times, and it is the only way I can honestly and safely feel I can remain here and be happy.
If I have met you on here and you are a friend then thank you for allowing me into your lives. I like the main forum best of all for some reason, although I do frequent the lap band forum and R&R just to meet the different surgery types.
I was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania and when I met my hubby on a European jaunt and married and settled down we moved to his home state of Tennessee and I love it here. I lost my mom pver a yr. ago to heart-related issues (it seems like yesterday), and his family is wonderful to me. I have one sister Pam, who also moved to Tennessee, and we remain very, very close. Pam got married and started having children younger than me (she is 4 years older) and I have a beautiful niece named Charlie and a nephew named Justin. They are 15 and 17 respectively and I adore them both. Our dad has since moved to upstate NY and is remarried to a lovely woman. Jeff's family has become all of our families and I thank God for them every day.
