Life at almost 2 years out

Apr 14, 2008

My post says I haven't updated for 80 days..has it really been that long?  Life just flies by when you are having fun :)   I will be 2 years out in June and I'm enjoying life and especially being able to keep up with my kids.  Whoever said being a SAHM is easy wasn't staying at home.  It's most definitely the hardest job (but the most satisfying) I've ever had.  It is a 24 hr a day job, although I get lots of help from hubby.

What can I say?  I'm staying strong at 148 lbs. and I'm thrilled.  I am 22 lbs. lighter than the goal I set for myself in the beginning.  I have a renewed energy that is amazing.  I love exercising and have some great exercise equipment at home (a treadmill, bike, stationary ball) and when I can get away I love jogging.  Me..jogging..the two words never went together before the band.  I had trouble just walking and huffed and puffed doing that.

I am a huge advocate of the band and so glad I had it.  It has changed my quality of life and that of everyone involved in it.  If you are thinking about weight loss it is the least invasive way to go.  It takes a little work but is oh so worth it.

I hope you all find yourselves blessed with the quality of life I now have.  I am a different person then I was...so happy and always wanting to go somewhere.  Life is good.  Live it to the fullest.

Mar 16, 2008

Well, hubby and I were going to get away for a quiet and relaxing weekend with no kiddos, but plans fell through when my MIL got the flu, and so off we went with kids in tow.  We visited my sister and BIL and had an early Easter of sorts.  Plans change, and we can always have a get--a-way some other time.  The kids all colored Easter eggs a week early, as my hubby works next Sat., and so we did everything a bit early.  Unlike the traditional ham dinner, we had spaghetti and meatballs.  I have absolutely no problems with it, and was slightly surprised.

My sister is 4 years older than me and has 2 kids which are way older then mine.  I didn't have my first one until I was 32 and had already enjoyed a career for a number of years.  She got started earlier, and so my niece and nephew are 15 and 17.

I'm glad our plans changed, as we had so much fun catching up and visiting and taking pics.  I am so very lucky to have such a wonderful, supportive family.  My sister and I are extremely close, and always have been.

Anyway, my band is treating me well.  I wore my first pair of size 10 jeans this weekend, but the pics have yet to be uploaded.

More another day,
Heidi
