Unsolicited Advice

Oct 25, 2014

I'm at the point where everyone I mention weight loss surgery to has an opinion or advice on what I should do.  I'm  honestly already tired of talking about it. I'm making a conscious effort to only seek opinions from others when needed and to also not talk about my journey too often with friends and family because A) I don't want to bore them to death and B) I don't want that to always be the center of our conversations and hang time together. I'm using the upcoming month as my starting point for interacting with my family and friends differently, learning ways to be there for them and not be so closed off and focusing more on my job obligations while I'm at work. I often find myself without focus or motivation to do things a healthy way so to prevent this from hindering my wls results and how I cope I'm going to focus on treating myself right,  interacting better, and being more sufficient and productive as a means to make things more manageable. I'm going to start with avoiding unsolicited advice and by just enjoying my interactions and responsibilities more. This was a rambly post lol it's just on my mind this morning
