I have been heavy all my life. I have been on a diet most of my life. I believe I have tried every diet on the market at least once. In 2003 I went through the whole process to have Bariatric Surgery, and lost my job, and lost my insurance just as they were going to assign my surgery date. At the time I was living in San Jose California. I was on Kaiser insurance then, but due to high volumn and popularity of this surgery they sent me to San Diego to have the surgery, but I had to back out of surgery. So after getting out of the program I moved back to my home town in Pennsylvania due to going through a messy divorce. After a couple years, I met a really nice guy and we got married. He is very supportive to me. I tried weight watchers again, and was a member for over 2 years. I was lucky to lose 37lbs, but then I hit a wall, and started gaining it back, plus more. I feel terrible, I have HBP, Sleep Apnea, and Colesterol problems. So I checked bariatric surgery in my area, and I went to see my PCP, and he agree's with me, and he refered me to the a bariatric center in my area, and now I am starting my journey all over again. this time no matter what happens I am going to have my surgery! Wish me luck as last night I started my journey last night, as I went to my seminar. Its going to be a long 6 months, but in the end, it is going to be worth it.
