"My first impression of Dr. Katz was how at ease he made me feel knowing the major decision I had just made with regard to having Bariatric Surgery. To this day, it is a nice feeling to receive a hug from your surgeon each time he sees you. The office staff is your family away from home and are always willing to give great advice. At each visit, he not only goes over your progress, he instills what still needs to be done and focuses on your new life style. Every 3 months he makes sure that blood work is drawn prior to your visit so you can discuss your continued care. Prior to the surgery, he goes over the risks (as there is risk in any surgery). He is confident in his ability, which makes you feel more comfortable with your decision. He allows you to ask as many questions regarding Bariatric Surgery that you need to ask. Competence accompanied by courtesy is a rare combination in today’s environment. Dr. Katz is a "ten"."
