Deb My prayers and thoughts are with you. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Annettejorielulof 22 years ago
Dear Deb...I am thinking of you. I too need rotator cuff repair and wrist replacement surgery, but am going first for a hip replacement (tomorrow). I have had many other orthopedic (and other) surgerys, so I know full well what you are going through. Hang in there and take one day at a time...I will be praying for your continued recovery.Lora B. 22 years ago

Dear Deb, I'm feeling for you! I had two rotary cuff tears repaired in Aug 2001. Don't rush yourself. It takes a lot of time and there is a good deal of pain for the first 7-10 days. Allow others to take care of you and your house. This is your change to live like a queen! :) The best thing to help you sleep is lay on your back, use a pillow for your head and use another pillow for the injured shoulder. In a week, please start your stretching excercises. My doctor never told me this but if you don't do them then scar tissue will develope that can severly limit your range of motion! I found this out from my Worker's Comp nurse. I wished my doctor would have said something about that. I would have been more highly motivated to stretch. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery. God bless! Carmen Kslspiek1215 22 years ago
Deb ~ I can only imagine the pain you are going through but hang in there. It has to have something to do with our weather. It has been so humid lately. My bones always hurt in this weather. Anyway, I live in Shawnee and I am having surgery on May 7 in St. Louis. Unfortunately, the few surgeons around here either don't take my insurance or don't do lap surgery. I wish you the best and don't let the slow recovery get you down. You have come so far! StacyAbout Me
