I had the RNY on July 13th 2004. I had a leak and then emergency surgery on July 18th. I recovered and lost 106 pounds. I am now off all meds and have good labs. However, my behavior has really slid and I have put back on 22 pounds. I never really got down to where I wanted to in the first place. I got bacterial colitis on my 1 year anniversary and had to eat simple carbs for a while. I never lost another pound and have never gotten back on track. It's time to do so.
