 Hello my name is Miriam :)I've been battling with my weight since my early teens. After the birth of my only child 8 years ago the weight seemed to keep adding on. It was at my highest at 263lbs that I decided that I needed to do something after trying just about every diet on earth. I did lots of research and looked into many different doctors before going to see Dr. Kim at Celebration Hospital in Orlando, Fl. So, on 11/06/09, shy of my 30th birthday I had Lap Band surgery with Dr. Kim. I'm just hoping to find other friends that truly understand the struggles of obesity and are going through the same emotional roller-coaster after surgery. I believe this new journey is best in the company of others.
