"I was so excited when I got my approval papers. I had to travel to Utica to see the surgeon. My first impression was is he young. He reassured me that I was in good hands and he had done this before. He was friendly and asked about how I would be travelling for surgery. I told him I would be going by myself and I was impressed with his compassion. After the surgery which was done April 8th which was Easter weekend and he came to the hospital even on Easter Saturday to discharge me. After care was done very well. I have seen him at 3 weeks post op and 3 months. I am going to Utica for my 6 month check up in a couple of weeks. He answers all of my questions and adressed all of my concerns. I would recommend Dr Fitzer as being competent in all aspects of WLS. Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are great. The staff at the office answer any questions that I may have."
