Charles A. Svendsen

"Upon first meeting Dr. Svendsen, I instantly liked him. Dr. Svendsen is a confident yet easy going, overall likeable man. He took all of the necessary time to explain the procedure, and it's risks and benefits, and answer any questions I had. He has a wonderful bedside manner that makes you feel instantly at ease. As a surgeon, he seemed quite confident in his knowledge of the procedures and his abilites in performing them. Overall, I would say he is a top notch doctor who truly enjoys his profession. **After having my surgery 1/31/03, I am even more pleased with Dr. Svendsen and his abilities and would highly recommend him. "Overall my stay was fairly good. I was thrilled with how quiet things were for the most part. But, I was a little frustrated with some of the nurses though it seemed as if they were either clueless or wonderful. There seems to be a lack of information (or consistancy) on how to care for bariatric patients. For example, one nurse might tell you one thing and the next something totally different. Or if you ask for something to be done one nurse might say, "no" and the next, "yes". The nice thing was if I didn't get answer I liked the first time, all I would have to do is wait until the next shift."
