It's been a while

Well it's been a while since I've posted. After calling off my surgery in late 2009 do to cold feet, I eventually gained back all that I lossed and then some.

So at the end of last year I manned up and had the surgery on 11/10. I started at 380 is and now i'm down to 297. I feel great, confident and look good.

So thanksful for God and Dr. Lowe, my surgery and recovery went well.

Another month, another win

Wow, I haven't posted since May but I am happy to report that;

June I lost 4 pounds
July I lost 11 pounds


Since my first visit in March, I've lost 26.0lbs, yeah!!  I can definitley tell, I can walk w/o stopping to rest my back!  My paper work has been submitted to insurance so let's hope and pray they accept me for lap band surgery.

Another month, more weight loss

Hello all, well I'm happy to report I lost 4lb, I was hoping to lose the 11lbs I did lost the previous month but oh well. I'm really motivated to lose more than and more weight.

The weight is coming off

Hello All, after a month of dieting and working my way to my surgery date, I have lossed 11 pounds from 3/3/09 - 4/1/2009.

I feel better, my bp was 105/60, I can't remember the last time my bp was that low. The dieting and swimming is paying off.

My new lifestyle

Ok, I had to post twice to catch up.

Since visiting the dietitian I have change the way I eat. I have incorporated fruits, vegetable's, and water into my meals. Since I have the iphone they have these neat application, one I can record my meal diary, another one locates restaurants near me and give me a list of health foods. Pretty Sweet.

So far I'm doing good, I have more good days than bad days. I can feel the weight loss although I don't want to weigh myself until 4/1. My pants are looser and my back feels better when I walk.

Choo, choo, all aboard the weight loss train

Hello all, well I meet Susan the dietitian on 3/3/09, she was pretty cool. My plan is to eat 3 means for a total of 2000 calories, that was easier said than done.

My goals:
For the next 4 months, lose a pound a week and a total of 40-50 pounds before submitting my paperwork to insurance. My insurance must see me make an effort.
Work out for 30 minutes 5 days a week. I just joined the Aquatics center and I have been swimming.
Low Fat food
Low sugar foods
No snacking

My first visit

My first visit to see Dr. Lowe was February 25. Dr. Lowe is very knowledgeable and explain everything in detail. I went into the office deciding on the Lap Band but now I'm thinking about the RNY, I will decided after more research and going to a support group.
