Hey my name is carla. I am 35 yo and and i am trying to have gastric bypass surgery. I have a lot of friends and family that believe I am not big enough to have surgery. but I am . I am happy they love me and accept me the way I am, but I am truly worried more and more about my health. My natural father died at 41 with a heart attck and my mother was 47 when she had hers. So after being put on medication for high blood pressure a few weeks ago and have been on medicine for high cholesterol for 2 years now i think its time to get serious. I have struggled with my weight problem just about all my life, It all began when I had my tonsils out when i was eight . my weight increased over the years . I was able to get control of it in high school which i was never a size 6 or 8 like most of the girls . i dont think i can ever remember being less than a 12 . I am divorced with two wonderful children and I want to do all I can to insure the possibility of being here for them til I am old . They mean the world to me.
