Totally and completely happy......
May 11, 2009
Here I am on day 12, having lost pounds without once being hungry, naseated, in any semblance of severe pain, and without feeling deprived. I have never in my life been more satisfied with any decision, and am actually hopeful, for the first time in YEARS, that I will lose the weight this time. For me, the rules are easy to follow, especially when I see such results. Would I like to chew on a big old greasy hamburger? Well, the memory sounds delicious, but I can't imagine eating 2-3 bites - and then I'd probably feel like crap. No, I'll stick with my eggs and mushies, and be perfectly happy.I DO have an uncanny craving for sweet pickles, but can't appease it, since I'm a little afraid to eat something that crunchy yet. I am able to eat tomatoes, which are a passion of mine. I have not taken an injection of my diabetes medication, Byetta, since the surgery and the doctor suspects I won't have to take it ever again! I DO get a little tired of vitamins (3 calcium citrate, 2 multi-vitamin, B-12, and iron) but it's a VERY small price to pay and I'm HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY. I start back teleworking 4 hours a day on Thursday (which will be 2 weeks after my surgery on 4/29) and am looking forward to the looks on their faces when they see me - YEP, you can already tell a difference.
Life is good!!!!!!!
