Terrific on a great start! You are in my thoughts and prayers as you continue your post-op journey. I hope your experiences will be as positive as mine have been. Hopefully all of the pre-op struggles and struggles of being newly post-op will soon be a distant memory as you enjoy the success of your efforts!

Hello Marilyn - Welcome home and Congratulations on traveling over to the losing side! You'll find the changes that follow, nothing short of a miracle. For 20 years I prayed and hoped for a "second chance" in life to be healthier and thinner - I never thought I would get that chance, but I did, and now so will you. My humble advice? Walk as much as possible after surgery. As your body begins to heal make sure to get in your protein, even if it means plugging your nose and chugging back the protein drinks in baby [pouch] gulps. Vitamins need to be chopped, minced or crushed... whatever it takes to get them in daily, no exceptions, YOU are worth it. Also, let's not forget your new best(est) friend, water. It is SO important to get your minimum 64 oz in daily. One final thing, CELEBRATE all the special moments along the way, big or small. Too many people focus only on numbers, ie. pounds lost. There are so many "moments" to look forward to and embrace on this journey - don't let any of them slip by. Enjoy your new healthier life, you've more then earned it!! NOTHING tastes as good as thin feels!! ....Hugs and smiles : )

HELLO ALL MY SWEET AMOS SISTERS AND BROTHERS! AND ESPECIALLY TO MY ANGEL, ALICE WHITE! I AM HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL AND THE STAY IN THE MOTEL, THANK THE LORD! I AM DOING SOOOOO WELL, THERE IS NO WAY TO TELL YOU HOW GOOD I HAVE DONE. SURGERY WAS 9/2 AND WENT FINE, HAD SOME BREATHING PROBLEMS DUE TO MANY YEARS PRIOR OF SMOKING, BUT HAD QUIT 5 YEARS BEFORE SURGERY. OTHER THAN THAT, EVERYTHING WENT PAR FOR THE COURSE I WOULD SAY. I AM IN STAGE FOUR AS FAR AS EATING WITH THE DR.'S BLESSINGS. I NEVER DREAMED ONE WEEK AND A DAY OUT, I COULD ENJOY SOFT FOOD AS I DO! I AM TRULY FORTUNATE, NO NAUSEA AT ALL. AND NEVER NEEDED MY PAIN MEDS AT ALL ONCE I LEFT THE HOSPITAL. SO, I WANT TO THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR PRAYERS OF SUPPORT FOR ME! I FELT THEM, AND THEY HEALED ME MUCH QUICKER THAN A 57 YR. OLD WOMAN'S BODY SHOULD. REALLY. YOU ARE ALL A BLESSING TO ME, AND I WILL BE POSTING VERY SOON ON MY PROFILE TO UPDATE MY PROGRESS. VERY GRATEFUL TO YOU ALL, MARILYN KOHLER
