Hannah's Baptism was beautiful Saturday. Couldn't have asked for better weather for November. 68 and sunny. The gathering after was very nice as well. I kept to myself out on the deck. Less temptations!

Mike and I just crashed on Sunday. We are both coming to the tail end of our colds. So just stayed in and rested. Got to shake this cough.

As far as today went, I did a little housework. Went on the computer to post a few things, rested a while and now back on the computer.

11/9//06  Thursday

The day's are just flying by.  I finally went to the Dr. a  couple of days ago for my cold. She gave me an antibiotic for a sinus infection, cough medicine and a script for an inhaler if I needed it. It all seems to be helping, but the cough medicine makes me drowsy.Hannah's Baptism is Saturday.  Not crazy about being with a crowd of people, but it's unavoidable. Next week I have my last appointments with the surgeon and the center's Dr. Then comes Thanksgiving and the week after that is my big day!

Well, here I am in "my month" and I have caught a cold. I'm not scheduled until the 30th, but I can't help but worry that this will delay me some how. I've got to shake this and then stay healthy!

Starting to take care of some matters that have been simmering on the back burner for some time now. Some are social and some are personal. What's important is that I will be a much better person once my conscience is clear. Some big steps were taken today on my journey!

I had a very busy day today. It was Mike's Friday off and we had an appointment to see a Financial planner. We are hoping that he will be able to retire in a couple of years. We'll see!

In the afternoon I had a follow-up appointment for another Mammogram. Now I have to wait a week to get the results of that. I guess they saw alot of calcium deposits in my left breast and they had me wait 6 mos to have another to see if there is any difference in the pattern.

We went out to dinner with my cousin and his wife. Haven't seen or talked to them in awhile. It was a good time. I explained to them all about my upcoming surgery. They were very supportive.

Now I'm checking emails and going to the Over 50 board. To check any updates for a couple of woman that just had their surgery.

I've found the nicest group of people at the "OFF" board.(over 50 forum)  The welcome I received was overwhealming. I've felt pretty alone since starting my journey on 9/6/06. I really didn't have anyone that really understands the way I was feeling.
This board has opened its arms to me with full support for my entire journey and beyond. They are really very sincere. I thank God that I have found them.
I'm feeling a little nervous tonight. Been thinking alot about my surgery.  It frightens me. I can't let it get the best of me. Tomorrow will be better. :)

I've finally figured out how to get my avatar uploaded !!  It may seem like a small thing to some, but this is a huge accomplishment for me !

Hey, does an avatar add 15 lbs like they say T.V. does??????? :)

Well I finally bought the "Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies" book. Thumbing through it, I can already see where it will be beneficial for me to take a look at.
Still struggling to get my photo in my profile!

Now I'm cooking! I uploaded a few pictures in my album. Very proud to show off my family!

Well, I posted my first question on the Massachusetts forum page. Now writing a BLOG....What the heck is a BLOG supposed to be???  :)
