Well I have been home 1 week today!! A little sick of being housebound, but feeling much better. I see my surgereon on Monday. Too bad it is not to take out my staples. I have alot of questions for him. I would like to thank all of you for your prayers. Don't think I would have made it without them. God Bless to all!! Joni

Angel flying in... Joni had surgery yestarday. I spoke to Joni's daughter, Carla, last night, and saw Joni this morning. (This is the first time Joni and I have met face to face. Exciting!) Her Dr said he would try to do RNY lap, but the lap equipment broke. SO to her surprise she woke up with about a 6 inch incision. She seemed pretty alert (for someone on morphine) and pretty happy. She is very thirsty but understands she is only allowed one medicine cup an hour. There were some complications, but she is okay now. She bled more than they expected, and her blood pressure was very high for awhile. She passed her leak test. She is doing good, but water felt like it was getting stuck or like heart burn. Her spirits seem pretty good though. Please send her your blessings. We have all heard or been through the gamit of emotions that are coming.

Well I had another postponment. THis Wed. is my surgery date 5/07/2003. I guess I am pretty numb to it all. 2 delays. I just want to get this surgery over, and start my new life. I broke my ankel last week. They won't cast it because of the surgery. I hope it feels better after I loose some weight. Keep me in your prayer... THank you to all.... Joni
