I got home yesterday. All went very well in the hospital. I got up walking that first night about 8 hrs after surgery. I was happy that it was easier getting up from this then it was getting up from my C-sections. I was happy to be feeling so well, but so sad at all the disaster that had happened right before my surgery. My surgery didn't seem quite so scarey when compared to all that others in our nation were going through. My prayers are with all those touched by the tragedy. Thank you all for your support. Especially Jeannie and Kristen, you were both such great angels! Thanks again.. I can't beleive I am on the other side! My pain meds are kicking in now, so gonna go take a nap!

Chandra is doing beautifully, walking all over the hospital today. She may get to come home tomorrow. She said she wasn't really too sore at this point. She is so glad to be joining us here on the "other side". Please keep her and her family in your prayers!

Hi, Chandra! Good luck on your surgery tomorrow - I noticed your note to Sue Fabacher, who lives not far from me here in TX, saying your Big Day is here, too. Just felt compelled to wish you the best (my daughter's name is Chandra, too - not all that typical of a name, you know!) Let us know how you are doing sometime soon, ok? Take care!

Ok Chandra tomarrow is our big day..are you ready? I'm nervous but excited. I am spending today cleaning the house, getting the kids ready for the next week and finishing my "just in case" letters and packing for the hospital. The only part I think I will hate....the enema my husband has to give me tomarrow morning before we leave for the hospital....LOL. Ok, I just wanted to say Good Luck, best wishes and many prayers sent your way. See you on the thinner side.

I wish you all the very best on your upcoming surgery. I am so sorry for all the problems you had with your surgeon. Just remember this: the WAIT is worth the loss of WEIGHT!!!! (La Mesa, CA)

Chandra, I just want to wish you the best and a very speedy recovery, My prayers will be with you. Dr. Rose and her staff will take real good care of you. The wait was the hardest part for me. Remember, Walk Walk, and then Walk some more. Each day does get better.
