12 Weeks

Apr 01, 2009

OK So I am 12 weeks and a couple of days out. Still having some side pain. Maybe not hydrating enough or something, called Dr. Roye and he is going to do a CT Scan or something like that. I have to go get my oders this week.
So anyway, I am down to 163 and feeling absolutely great about my progress. I get a little down now and again when I see others losing at a faster pace, but then I read something from Cleoptra Nik and it cheers me up. I have to remember that 40 lbs in 3 months is amazing. I Love the way my clothes are fitting. I am into a 12-14 now and Large to x large tops - still have HUGE boobs.
I Love buying new panties, the cutsie ones. They don't roll down my fat belly anymore and that is awesome...I wear the boy shorts cut...so I spend a small fortune on undies..LOL. Still buying clothes at Salvation Army or Grage Sales, have bought a couple blouses at Cato on the small side not the side I usually shop in...I bought some shorts and a tank top for a mini vacation we are going on Tuesday. WOOHOO, I get to go see my Son in Arkansas. He is in the Air Force and I haven't seen him since New Years Eve when he and his new little bride left for Little Rock AFB. I am very excited. I have not posted any pictures of me where he can see them, so he hasn't a clue what I look like now. He has always had a very fluffy Mommy..it will be different to see his reaction.
Did I tell you all I was off of my high BP meds? Yup, everyone of them. WOOHOO for me. Anyway, I am going to take some more pics and post them cause I don't much care for the last ones we took. We will see what 4 weeks difference makes..
Good Luck and God Bless

Hmmm still no new pics

Mar 13, 2009

Well, as you can see, my grandson had better plans for me. Those plans included staying at the hopital from Thursday afternoon til Fridayearly morning. He is beautiful...well worth the wait...Then back to the hospital Friday mid morning with grandpa..Then started to get sick...they got to come home Saturday, went to Church Sunday still not feeling so good, but walking on cloud 9 so whatever...By Tuesday I couldnt' stand the pain anymore and went to the Dr. I have a Kidney infection, I am sure the lack of hydration and food for 2 days didn't help this matter.
So I have not been able to see my grandson since Monday night..ARGH..this is killing me. Went to the meeting last night, it was great, had an RNY'r speak nd she was great. Heather and I finally met. If you haven't gone to one of these meting you really need to go. It is so nice to have finally met my friend Heather..Hi Heather, I know you are reading...lol. The meetings are the second Thursday of each month. I guess I am going to start posting them on the main page so maybe we can get more people. They are very informative and a great support tool. We just need more input, like a group session instead of a seminar type setting...something to think about. maybe more people would be inclined to join in the conversations...Just a thought.
I sure wish it was mandatory for all the bypass patients to have to register online here prior to surgery as there is so much info and so many nice people that are so helpful. I saw a bunch of people at the meeting without a clue...it was sad.
Anyway, my Grandson is suppose to be here to see his Grammy anytime now....he better hurry..
Love to all and God Bless

Meet my Grandson

OK so it's been a few days...LOL

Mar 05, 2009

Well, it's been a few weeks anyway...LOL
I am doing wonderful...Life is good and eating is becoming easier. I refuse to let myself even try some foods as I do not want to know whether or not I "can" eat them. I just assume that I can NOT eat them..better for me in the long run. I have found some new low cal, low sugar snacks that I LOVE...One is a sugar  - cinnamon bagel bite. Can't recall who makes them but they are great and the serving size is like 9 and I only eat 3...GO ME. The other one is Cinnamon Toast - It's for diabetics on that isle with  cookies and such...I eat one half of one and it is GOOD. I will post all the labels and brand names later.
Anyway, as most of you know we are expecting a Grandson.....I am SO excited..They were supposed to enduce today but the Doc had a couple eclampsia patients he had to deal with so he moved it to Monday if she doesn't pop by then. I wanted her to wait til her due date which is march 20th cause it is my BD, but that ain't happening...he is ready to come on and she is ready too.
I am at 33.5 lbs lost, but as my daughter says if you take into consideration what I weighed when I got home from the hospital which was 212, I have lost 42.5 lbs WOOHOO
Doen't look like I will make my March 20th goal of 155 but maybe my  alternate goal of 165 ( highly unlikely also) Dang but I am trying so hard...Oh Well I am so pleased.
I am wearing a size 14, this still just floors me...and a large or x-large top...Not a 3x like before...
I will be taking pics tonight as it is my 2 month anniversary and I need to see the changes my body has made since last month.

Take Care and God Bless

February 13th

Feb 13, 2009

OK, so I am down 27lbs so far. Still having some issues with food getting stuck or feeling stuck. Maybe I am full I don't know, but it is very irratating. Anyway, I posted some before and after pics, have a look see. I couldn't see a difference until I looked at the pictures together. I tried to put them together on one page but I couldn't figure that one out. I went to the Dr. last week I think , gosh time flys, and he released me to do and eat whatever. I will not eat bread as I am scared and with this stuck feeling I am not even going there. I do eat crackers, 2 to be exact with soup or tuna. I bought a wii fit and have been getting after that everyday and believe it or not it broke my stall...GO WII..hehe
Anyway, life is good....Oh Yea, I put on the first pair of jeans that I have worn in years yesterday, that didn't have elastic waist that is, and it was OK.

OK so Shoot me

Feb 03, 2009

OK so here we are Feb. 3, 2009. I am getting bad about not posting... Thank You Brax for reminding me....
To date I have only lost 23 lbs. I was down to 177.5 BUT once I started mush it all changed. I fluctuate between 178-181 clothed and un-clothed. I am eating around 800-900 cals a day and trying to walk at least .75 mile a day (weekdays).
I go back for my month check up on Thusday and hopefully I will get released to do water exercise. I want to start water aerobics...woohoo

I am still having a difficult time with the water issue. Gosh, I know I am pushing it when I say I am getting 48 ozs a day. I really need to find a way to better measure my water intake. I finally bought some sf popsicles and maybe that will help with the fluids. Also, G2 or G4 or whatever it is, they say if you mix that with your water it gives it a good flavor. So I will see. I have been drinking a lot of homemade lemonade and that help rehydrate me quickly...plus it was so yummmmmm.

I will let ya'll know what the Doc says when I get back from my visit. I have a spot on my belly he needs to look at, the scab just came off today and there is a hole in my belly. It is small but a hole none the less. Just a couple things I want to discuss. I am not sure how long realistically it takes for your body to adjust to this new tummy. I would like to get some ideas on that and make sure I am doing everything correctly.
Oh yes, AVOCADOS are EVIL...do NOT eat them....

Take care and God Bless

WOW, Um I am getting good at forgetting to post

Jan 22, 2009

OK so it is the 22nd and I haven't written in 6 days. So shoot me..hehe JK
I started Puree last night and it is amazing. My hubby BBQ'd chicken and made me a piece with no sauce. I put it in the processor and added a lil FF dressing..Miracle whip to be exact. It was AWesome....ANYWAY
I sarted at the local community center yesterday. I am not doing so good. I can only walk .75 of a mile. I am afraid to try any of the machines as of yet and I haven't been cleared for water activities as of yet. Soon I will be starting water exercises and progress from there to floor stuff.
I still have a stitch in my side sometimes. Still have constipation and gas pains. The stitch in my side feels like your side after you have run track and you are cooling down, you know how you get that stitch in your side.
I have been working a couple hours a day, I a,m so blessed to have a job and boss like mine.
Well Take Care all and God Bless

Jan 15-16

Jan 15, 2009

OK, so after I got the JP removed we went to SAMS to buy some stuff for the house. I ended up spending a ton of money on NOTHING I could eat.
So we went to the Store and got my stuff. I was still rather confused on the Phases II diet so I called my NUT. SHe was awesome and sent me some sample menus and I feel much more confident.
I started a food journal on myplate.com , it counts your calories and everything. Well worth the look.
I made some more jammies for my Grandson to be.....I am teaching myself how to sew, so it is something to keep me occupied while I am stuck home.
Soreness is really starting to give. It seems the more sleep I attain in the night the less sore I am in the morning. I slept on the couch last night. I actually slpt for 3 hours straight, it was awesome. I feel great today.
One thing I have notices is I do get tired fairly easy, but I have so much more energy, not tired all the time anymore, just feel better in general

God Bless
