Soooo, I am 6 months out and 3 lbs shy of losing 100 lbs and I feel absolutely great!!! I have gone from a tight 22 in pants to a 14 and from a 22/24 top to XL and some L. I can shop in stores that I used to dream about going into! I want to tone but not lose anymore weight. .I think that the reaction that I am getting from some family members is that I am getting a little too small and I kinda think so too....I am 5'8 so Im not short and I dont want to begin to look crazy. I have to put some pics up because this is ridiculous!!!

Havent posted in forever but Im here today! I have definitely had my ups and downs with surgery. From  post nasal drip to an awful ulcer, it looks like Im seeing it but still enjoying my weight loss and all of the compliments. My dad would be proud! I am continuing to my goal that I plan to reach soon. Things are great and my 6 months isnt here yet! I plan on making 2013 a great year!

So, surgery is in the morning and I am between scared and excited. I don't know what I really will feel but with all of the group sessions that I have attended, I kind of have an idea what it's gonna be like. I can't wait to finally be on the "losers bench". For once, a loss is a great thing!

OMG! I can hardly contain myself! I have less than 2 weeks to go before surgery. Right now I am preparing to buy all of the protein drinks that I will need for the first 2 weeks so that i won't have to worry about sending people out once I get home. I'm READY!!!

Well, I am on day 5 of my pre-op diet and so far it's been good. I thought that I would be overwhelmingly hungry and to my surprise, Im not. I will not weigh myself in between visits. I will save that for my visits to the surgeon but so far so good. The free foods help a lot. I can have celery, cucumbers, dill pickles, sugar-free jello and sugar-free icees but Im sticking with the jello and pickles for now.

Tomorrow is my first visit back since the start but Im confident that this is going to be a great ride!

I am so excited to be going in to the surgeon's office on Friday to purchase my Optifast to start my month long pre-op diet. It's a step closer to surgery. Just to think, September 12th I'm going to have surgery and start a new life. I can't wait!!!

I am still very excited about being approved for my surgery! Well, excited by myself anyway because I've only told one of my closest friends and I don't know when or if I plan on telling the rest of my family. I wanted to be able to tell them about my decision but I am afraid that the entire world is going to know what I did, and that, I am not ready for. Gees.
Anyway, I am supposed to be doing my endoscopy on the 3rd but again 2hrs away so I decided to call my PCP and see if she could schedule it for me in the next town over which is 10 minutes away. She said YES so that was settled. I now only have one support group left to attend, an orientation and Surgery 101 and my classes for surgery will be complete. I will not be through with that until the 21st of August but surgery isn't until the 12 of September so Im good.

I just can't believe that I am 43 days out from what I've been waiting almost 8 years for. Elated, excited, more than happy. I can't wait!

I got a call from Shea at my surgeon's office today a few minutes before 5 o'clock and I WAS APPROVED!!!! I really didnt think that the approval was going to come so soon! Two days??? But whatever! I am scheduled for September 12 because I have to get in my four weeks of pre-op on Optifast but I am so ready I can feel it already!

The waiting game is so blah. Why in the world does it take so long to have this paperwork processed??? Im waiting but hopefully I won't be sitting here waiting for two weeks. Gees....

Well, I had my appointment to see the surgeon today. I experienced the good and not so good. I was told that at this appt I would be receiving my surgery date but unfortunately, I could not get the date because my paperwork has to be submitted to the insurance company first. I was all hyped about what the receptionists' told me and it wasnt even true but the best part was that I WAS CLEARED FOR SURGERY!!!

From what the scheduler said today, I will probably have the surgery the 2nd week in September. That's fine and I'll go with that!
