I'm 34 years old and have been struggling with my weight for the past 15 years or so. I'm currently at an all time high of 235 lbs at 5'4" and qualified for surgery with a 40 BMI. I just got approval for my RNY and am going to be having it done by Dr. Onopchenko in March.

I've been able to lose 30, 40 even 50 lbs through diet and exercise but always end up putting it back on after falling off the diet wagon.  Even though I'm about 100 lbs over weight I do work out often and have even run 3 half marathons (13.1 miles) and numerous 5k's over the past year.  I know that once I get the eating under control I'll be able to exercise my way down to a healthy weight in no time and finally maintain for life!  I know all about the possibility of regain and hope to avoid that all together with the support of my family and friends, OCWLS support group and of course OH.

My husband adam_ is a member here and 2+ years post op RNY.  He's been very successful having lost 240 lbs and reaching goal in only 10 months!  So I'm already very knowledgable about life after Gastric Bypass having been by his side the entire time...providing support, and of course cooking all his meals. LOL. But I'm sure there is still a thing or two I can learn about here and maybe help others too. I'll update my profile as things progress.

Thanks for looking!
