"I had by gastric bypass on 7/9/08. It was the best choice I could have ever made for me and my daughter. I have a greater chance of living a long healthy life with her and growing old. I have so much energy to play with my little girl. I want so much more out of life now. My self esteem is almost through the roof, I can't imagine how it will be once I lose the rest of the extra weight. I am sure I have cut my chances of getting the nasty disease diabetes that runs in my family badly. I have had no complications for surgery. I am learning to eat slowly and all the other things that must be learned after the surgery. I would have the surgery over again if I was in the same position as before. I have nothing negative to say about the surgery or my surgeon. I was well informed on the surgeon and the surgery before and think it made a big difference. "
