I had my surgery on Mon. Nov. 28th 2011. I had my gall bladder removed, my Realize band removed and had the RNY.  I am feeling great, no complications, just a little sore. I came home Wed. and have average 2 lbs. weight loss per day. I am so excited.  I think this is the best decision for me, and I wish I had done this to start with, but we live and learn, and I am sure the Good Lord, had a reason for the wait.  If anyone has also gone through this, or are planning to, please friend me and we will go through it together. Well today I had my first fill and it was kina freaky feeling, but not too bad. I am down 30lbs. I had surgery March 2nd. The nutritionist said everything lookd good so she would not set another appt. Just if I needed to see her. On another note all together. I have a bone to pick about eating out. My hubby love Golden Corral, okay buffet not the best place to go when you can't eat much, but for the hubby. We get there and it is $9.99 plus drink, well I ask if they have a discount for WLS patients, well yes they do, a whopping .50 So needless to say I had to pay $9.49, for a kids portion which cost $3.99, I know we did not have to eat there, but I would rather them say no they did not offer a discount than to have to call the manager over, and make people wait, for them to give me .50 off, I mean really. Does anyone know any good restaurants that offer discounts? Well enough ranting, overall had a nice day. God Bless you all...Jess

Okay so I am 22 days out and down 26lbs. Today was mine and the hubby's 8th wedding anniversary. He is a keeper, as he always remembers flowers, hehe, and so we went out to eat. We go to Ruby Tuesday's and I get the Bella Chicken, with steamed brocolli and the creamed cauliflower, and get this the salad bar cause it is so good, old habits die hard I guess, I only eat a few bites of baby spinich leafs and a few trimmings from the salad, and learned real quick not to waste my money on a salad and entre' I quit the salad so I wouldn't fill up, I ate a few bites of brocolli and the cauliflower, and the chicken was xtra tender and moist so I ate a few bites and remembered to chew chew chew, but I don't think I will ever get used to how much food is left, and I can eat off it for a few days. I am loving this new life. BTW, does anyone else order a water and let it set there just so the server doesn't think you are crazy? God Bless...Jess

Okay so day 10 and feeling good, had an issue with the steri strips after having my staples removed, latex alergy cause some bad blisters, and afraid had to take them off too soon, the nurse said to just let the incisions air and heal, the top one looks great, but the bottom one may leave a bigger scar it is still kinda open, but it is looking better. I feel very good, but trying not to over do it too much. I have lost 20 lbs. some during my pre-op week diet. I am so excited with the differance so far and can't wait for even more. Okay I am three days out and doing pretty good, I can't drink alot very fast which is to be expected and it is hard to get in all my fluids and protein, but I am trying, I am still having the gas pain in my back, shoulder, and neck, but it is getting better. Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts, they were very appreciated, and I give so much thanks and glory to God for guiding my wonderful surgeons hands and seeing me through it all.
