B B B Baby you just ain't seen nuthin-nuthin yet..

Jan 05, 2014

Hahah so according to Mr. Scale, I am down 61lbs now.  In a month, that sounds REALLY FREAKING FAST.  But it's consistently showing 1-3lbs coming off every 24-48 hours so.... I'M BUYING ANOTHER NEW SCALE. LOL   However, the scale- which is a new digital- does show my sister's weight accurately, is consistently showing the loss and matched with my Surgeon's digital and manual scales during my follow up two weeks ago.  So part of me is believing this weight is actually coming off like this, but part of me is like, noooooo you are crazy, miss crazy lady. Ain't nuthin comin' off except your double chin. hahahaha

I think it's because I haven't been forced out of my current clothes yet.  Previous jeans still fit like they did before, my bra feels like it's fitting better though. Socks don't carve their way into my swollen legs as much.   My mother, ugh, wanted to take a photo of me at new years because she doens't think I'll be able to see the difference later on.  Truth be told, I dont have negative body issues. I'm a pretty awesome person, I kick a** at life and love all the things. I'm not in denial- I'm FAT.  402lbs is FAT. There's no "i'm just curvy" going on here.  That was me when I was 140-200lbs.  This.. I can't cross my legs, that still hasn't changed. I still overfill the seat in my super sexy 2013 Mazdaspeed3 (rawwwwwr).  I still have trouble fitting into the chairs in the conference rooms at work.

I guess I'm in that stage where the pounds are coming off, but most of it right now is the fat inside, between my organs, hiding behind my boobs, clogging up my energies.      I have noticed, however that my hips are sore. I used to sleep on my sides, everynight- no problem. Preferred it because my back issue, but now- I'm suddenly sleeping everynight on my back. I am actually waking up on my back. And when I go to roll over onto my hips, kinda instinctively, they are sore.  I mean, could this be due to fat no longer being there as some sort of cushion? Maybe. But I don't see it yet. Probably won't until I can buy size 26 or 24 pants.

OMG - THAT'LL be the day, right? HAHAHA

Nightly Routine for Skin Care

Jan 05, 2014

RNY, I'm 3 weeks out.  I have seen my skin getting kind of dry, but it's also winter so I changed my nightly routine and and seeing my skin looking way way better.

Before I go to sleep each night, I apply the following:

  • Silicone Glove by Avon Care to my elbows and heels of feet
  • Lavender Overnight Treatment Cream by Foot Works on feet and ankles - then I wear moisture retention socks, I get mine at Walgreens but they are at most drugstores.
  • Nail Nutrition Oil by Sally Hansen on fingers - I apply via the built in brush right at the meeting of the skin and nail
  • Ultra Healing Lotion by Jergens on hands, wrists, forearms and over elbows, on top of the Silicone Glove treatment from prior.
  • Spray Misty For Me Facial Spritz by Anatomicals on face and neck
  • Cocoa Butter Lip Therapy by Vaseline on lip and lip lines

If any of this sounds good to you or you have any questions, let me know.   Here's a picture of my bedside Night Care contents :)
