My first entry...
Hey everyone! After 4+ years of saying that I can loose the weight on my own (I'm not sure why I thought that since I have been struggling with my weight since I was in grade school), I have decided to take my first step toward WLS. On Monday, I will be attending an information session presented at our hospital on the subject. Well, I have been reading up on WLS for a LONG time, but I never took any action. The thought of not being able to eat whatever I wanted SCARED me. I am no longer afraid; nervous yes, but afraid no.
There are so many things I am looking forward to now! I want to get off my blood pressure & cholesterol meds! I want to go hiking with my dogs without having to take breathing breaks (while my husband and dogs watch me try to catch my breath)! I want to wake up refreshed instead of tired from snoring all night long! I would go on, but I'm sure you get the picture:-)
This site has been such a blessing to me. I haven't even been to the info session & I have already emailed with a couple of people who have been very supportive. The information you all provide through ObesityHelp.com has helped me to be better prepared for my upcoming adventure! Thanks a bunch!!!
