A couple of weeks shy of two years

May 09, 2012

It's been three years since my journey to a healthier me >> I will say it was the BEST pregnancy I had I was no longer a high risk as in my previous pregnancies and I looked and felt really good .  I really believe God wanted me to experience the joy of a healthy pregnancy and birth.

So my baby boy turned one on April 5 and on My 26th I will be celebrating my third year of The most important decision to change my life for the better by having Gastric by-pass Surgery.

I'm still on " The Journey to a healthier me " I'm now weighing 198 pounds and sporting a size 14 although I still get complements and look dramatically different than I did Before my surgery, I really need to work harder and Diet smarter than I did before. The weight I gained after my pregnancy is really discouraging and frustrating to me. I know that my stomach has stretched and that I can eat more then I did right after surgery.

The Doctor did say to me "I'm changing your inside -It's up to you to change your way of life and create healthy habits" These words are playing a big role in my life and they make more and more sense as time goes by. So I decided to revisit my roots and log on to "My OH" I'm hoping that it will bring me back to reality and remind me of the journey I've been through . I truly am blessed to have gone through such a journey and I want to continue and prove to myself that I can do anything I put my mind to - through hard work and determination.

I'm ready to stay focused and give my self the life God has intended for me
and my family
