My Story isn't that bad. I have been blessed in my life in good ways and bad. I lost my father at 12 years old, but I was a major factor in why I became a nurse. I have not been overweight my whole life, but I was vicitim to a mentally abusive boyfriend for 5 years, (throughout highschool and some of college). Plus my mother and father have both been overweight their entire lives.  My little sister though, has fought the battle and is still winning. She is tall, athletic, and has will power.  I love her very much.  I decided I needed to do something drastic with my life, even though personally everything was going just fine. I finally felt bad enough about myself that I wanted to change, permanently. So I decided to get a lap-band done. This for my life was the best choice. The only problem that I have had with being overweight was my fertility is in question. Being a nurse I know the other health aspects would be shortly behind if I didn't lose the weight. So I decided to go all the way. My husband has been approved with insurance and now just has to do all the pre-op stuff. I can't wait!
