Now today 10/3 Wednesday

Oct 03, 2007

So now to write about today. I think that I'm going to try and journal about every day. So I went into work at 7am and tried to eat some yogurt but the flavor was awful  So I decided on 2 saltines and that was it. I did however eat some chili for lunch, I didn't get much, but of course I didn't think it was that spicy at all, but my stomach said different, so I'm crossing that off my list of okay foods.  I have already drank 2 bottles of water today. Plus I worked out again today walking 2 miles in 40 min with the incline. So I'm not sure if I'll up the distance or the actual speed.  But I could feel it in the top of my legs! I'll just have some protein shots for dinner, because that chili is still not playing nice.

2 days of work down!

Oct 03, 2007

Well today is Wednesday. Let's see what happened monday? I went to Walmart to get some things for the puree food portion of the diet. I was very successful. But they had the soup isle all messed up, but I wasn't leaving until I had some better soups to take home. I went to the gym and walked 2 miles in 40 mintues, and using incline. That makes all the difference. The machine says that I burn 400 calories, but only the scale at the end of the week will tell the truth.
A bottle of proteinex didn't last me a week, because I'm using it more that what my diet will give me with protein, but it will be worth it.  Tuesday was my first day back at work and it of course was a doosy! I went in at 11am and didn't get home until 9pm, I was supposed to get off at 7pm!  Poor me! ha ha  But I felt great all day. All I had to get was a 1/4 cup of cream of oats and I wasn't hungry all day. But boy was I thirsty! I really need to make sure that I'm getting enough water at work.  I did eat some refired beans a little cheese when I got home because by then my stomach was really growling, but I didn't eat to much.  My surgery areas hurt a little, I think it's from rubbing up against stuff, but they look fine. Okay that's enough for this entry I think!

Don't eat farm food!

Sep 30, 2007

Today was my first cheating day. I had the usual jello and 2 saltines for brunch . I wasn't hungry for breakfast, so I didn't eat anything. Then Andy and I went to a farm for a friends work thing and then to his mom's house. That is where the cheating began. She made potato chowder soup. She was trying for fluid liquid, but went a little over... It did have bacon in it and cheese. I don't want to know the calories in it, but I stayed to my 1/2 cup and was full. I didn't get sick after eating the bacon, but I'm not going to concentrate on that. I of course was extremely thirsty but I didn't drink anything. I did have to double up on protein shots though when I came home, because I hadn't had any protein today. I did have 2 popsicles and I'm done for the night. Only water from here on out. I'm excited to go back to work, but we will see how well I do the first day. Luckily it will only be for 8 hours.

Saturday, day 5 post op!

Sep 29, 2007

I have decided to weigh myself every Saturday morning, So it will be a week each time. And today I weighed in at 253. Dr. Woodman is placing my pre-surgery weight at 273, but he did make me lose weight before the surgery. So I actually weighed 263, three days before surgery. But as long as the numbers keep going down, I'm good!  I did a calorie count of everything that I have eaten this week. Everyday I did not have more than 400 calories! How crazy is that! My husband was sitting beside me today eating a chicken sandwich from Lenny's and I was like, that one sandwhich would be more calories that I had in 2 days! But I did get really hungry today because I didn't eat breakfast before I left. I had my shot of protein and I walked out the door.
So by the time I got home at 3:30 today I was about to kill someone. I only had the 1/2 cup of cream of potatoe soup, 2 saltine crackers, and a no fat fudge sicle. That is however the most that I have eaten in one sitting since surgery. But I did the trick, and I was fine. No nausea! That has been the best thing, but it kind of makes me scared thinking that I will need more fluid in on the first visit, which I'm trying not to do. But I'm going to take it day by day and see.
