My story...I am a 41 year old mother of three. I live in CT with my husband and our kids. I have been overweight for most, if not all, of my life. I remember doing so many diets - it was hard to list them all on the paperwork for my doctor! I have thought about WLS for many years - afraid to actually look into it. I remember about four years ago I had even asked my regular doctor about it - she gave me a referral but I never followed up. Earlier this year I found out that I had gall stones and I was going to be referred to a surgeon to have my gall bladder removed. I decided that since I was going to have to have surgery anyways that now was the time to look into WLS. So, here I am, 41 years old, very excited about this "tool" that I am going to have "installed". You can fix things with tools - you just have to use them properly! I can't wait to start the next segment of my life!
