Well, I did it! I had my first fill today...not bad at all! I started getting really nervous as I sat in the room waiting for Dr. Aranow to come in - thinking I should have taken a Xanax. Turns out I didn't need it at all! He was so great and kind and understanding! No problem whatsoever! When he pulled the needle out - that was interesting!

Okay, so the facts - I got 3.6 cc in my 10 cc band. Just found out today that I have a 10 cc band - got the wrong packet on my way home from the hospital...no big deal - I totally trust Dr. A and whatever he says regarding the band is just fine with me!

Well, yesterday was the day. Everything seemed to go fine. I had my gall bladder removed and a lap band installed. I went into surgery at noon and was on my way home by 5:30...not a bad day. I went to my daughter's soccer game today - not a lot of cheering but was glad to be there. Tomorrow is my son's soccer game - will do the same...
I have some pain at the incision sites - expected - other than that I am doing great.

Well, it's almost here...10 more days. It seems unreal sometimes that I am really going to do this. I really have been thinking about this for years and working on this surgery for months. I talked to my brother today (who had outpatient surgery himself today) and he asked what anesthesia I was going to have... I told him that I didn't care, I just want to get it done, start recovering and start losing! He totally understood. I am looking forward to September 19th -  I guess that's all for now...
