I have been overweight for most of my adult life and after trying every diet under the sun (more than once for many of them) I came to the conclusion that I needed to make the next step and consider Weight Loss Surgery.
January 2008 one of my closest friends sent me an article on the Lap Band procedure and after reading it my interest was peaked but it didn't go any farther.
March 2008 I went to a seminar that one of the local hospitals was offering on the Lap Band procedure and I was really sold on the procedure. I went home that night and with a little on-line research learned that my insurance company just began covering this procedure 3 MONTHS EARLIER.
July 2008 After months of research and waiting for the Surgeon's office to do their paperwork. (My insurance company was/is awesome and did not slow the process in any way) I was banded on July 1st 2008.
