The Rude Awakening!

Apr 20, 2014

Well it is now 6 years post RNY and two weeks ago I weighed in at 194 lbs!  I couldn't seem to break the snacking and sugar habit!  Here a few cookies, candy, etc!  I talked to some folks about this product, and here I go ready to lose again!  It has stopped my urge to snack, snack, snack!  http://Kim061865.SBCSpecial.com/

Update

Mar 21, 2010

Well it has been a very long time since I have posted, but I am doing great.  I'm down to 138 pounds and am wearing size 8 (sometimes size 6) pants!  Wow what a difference from size 24!.  In Sept of 2009 I had an extended tummy tuck, breast lift and augmentation done.  It takes a good 3 months for those abdominal muscle to heal!  I would do it all again though!  I feel so much better when I see myself naked now.  Yes, my arms and legs are still saggy fat.  However, my tummy is washboard flat with nice boobies!  The procedure was done by Dr. Gallaway at Star Medical Center in Novi.  He did a great job!

I am so glad I had my gastric bypass!

Below 200!!!!!!

Sep 12, 2008

My weight fell to 198!  I was doing the happy dance!!!
I went to the Doctor Monday and all seems well.  He said I am doing very good.  He congratulated me because now my BMI reflects I am Severely Obese rather than Morbidly Obese!  I'm eating regular foods now which is going well so far!  The NUT said I could eat more than a half a cup but I really am pretty full by time I get 1/2 cup in me!

3 Week Post Op Dr Visit Update

Jul 21, 2008

July 22, 2008

I went to see Dr. Bacal yesterday.  My weight is down to 221.8 which means I have lost 26 pounds since my preop visit in June when I was 248!  He pulled my stitches and I go back to work on July 23rd .  I have to go on pureed foods for two weeks then soft foods that I can break with a fork.  For pureed food he said I can eat anything I can put in a blender and make the consistancy of applesauce.  I had chili yesterday!  My next visit will be in 4 weeks.  I asked how much food I should be eating and he said about 1/2 cup.  I'm still struggling to get in my 64oz of water.  I'm getting better with my protein.  I bought some mix from the Vitamin Shoppe made by ON which is MUCH BETTER!  It is Strawberry flavor.  I just have to get the horrid memory of the bad tasting mixes out of my head!

BamBam

July 20, 2008

Yesterday, July 19, 2008, was a very sad day in our lives.  We have to put our cat BamBam to sleep.  He has a terrible disease called FIP, the dry version.  While I was in the hospital having my RNY his back legs quit working.  My very caring husband, Wayne, has been toating him around in a laundry basket, washing him when he pees himself, and I'm been crushing meds to give him.  It has been very heart breaking.  Now BamBam isn't really doing anything but lying in the basket, and doesn't want to eat.

He has been a bright spot in our lives since one day in October of 2005 that my son Justin brought him home at 11pm.  He sat him in my lap all wet and full of fleas.  He weighed a whole 12 ounces and was the cutest thing ever and still is!

We love you BamBam!

This is the second cat we have lost to FIP.  When BamBam was a kitten we bought another two kittens to keep him company.  Katrina died of the we version of FIP.  Either is very sad and is a death sentence.  I hope to never have to go through this again.  It is very heartbreaking for us and terrible for them.
