I am 34yr old and a single parent of a 12 yr old daughter that means the world to me. I have been fighty obesity since I was a senior in high school and I have tried every diet out there and nothing seems to work. I became very serious about losing weight last April after I had knee surgery when the doc said if i keep gaining i won't be able to walk much longer and i i won't live long and that was the only wake up call i needed and i have the support of some of my family but some r scared and don't understand why i need to do this and i always tell them u know i am the one carrying around this extra weight not u and u need to walk in my shoes for and day and see how your back and legs and knees feel after u carry all this extra weight and they usually stop sayin it after i put it that way. I weigh about 432 and would like to get down to atleat 200 pound within five years after i have the surgery. I will be goin to Grinnell on Friday the 16th and hopefully they will tell me that my insurance has approved me and then the process with begin. HOPEFULLY
