"Had surgery 9-27-10, and had very minimal pain. By the time I was released from the hospital day 4, I wasn't on any pain meds. I was a bit sore in my stomach area however, nothing I couldn't handle. I was able to get in and out of bed with no help. Dr. Rumsey is a great surgeon. I would recommend anyone to him considering going through this procedure. He truly has a good hand. With my gall bladder surgery I had extreme pain post op compared to my RNY. Go figure :)"
"The staff at Scripps Mercy was great. Besides my surgeon being awesome, the OR nurse was amazing and very comforting. The recovery room nurses were very caring and attentive. My main nurses were all very helpful and kind. Anytime I needed something, and buzzed them they were very quick to respond. I had a private room, with a nice view. My room was nice and quiet which was nice for when I wanted to sleep day or night. I had a corner room which was nice since I was away from the nurses station. "
