I come from a family with a extremely strong history of obesity. Both my parents were morbidly obese as have become all five of their children. Both of my parents died from obesity related diseases. Mom from diabetes (75) and Dad from heart disease (72) both incapacitated for years prior to their deaths. At 58 my oldest brother died from obesity related diseases after being bedridden for a number of years. Upon his death my next oldest brother sought out the help of Dr Dent at the Weight Management Clinic in Ottawa Canada and since then my families lives have changed . My brother who was rapidly approaching my eldest brothers fate had the surgery December 2006 had his surgery with Dr Graber at the Paxton St Luke's Hospital in Utica NY since then he has lost nearly 200 lbs and has inspired the rest of us to follow in his footsteps.
