Iam 48 years old, and married to my soul mate 
, with two wonderful boys. I have been struggling with my weight since the birth of my first child. And from then on I have gained alot of weight, I now weigh 325lbs. and I have a few medical conditions because of my weight. I have gone on many diets, pills, diet programs like Herbal Magic and spend alot of money with it. Now with the issues with my knees and the fear of developing diabetes, I knew that I had to do something, and fast. So I talked to my doctor and she suggested Bariatric Surgery to me. I found out from her that here in Canada, I can get the surgery and have it covered under my health insurance. Well I jumped at this; I had to go to Toronto Western Hospital to the Bariatric Centre and start the process for a RNY procedure with lots of appointments to see several doctors, nurses, specialists and then the final step will be with the surgeon themself to go though the procedure of the operation, and then finally the surgery date. At this point in time the final step is the surgeon on Feb 24th, 2012; were she will book the date for surgery. My goal is to get back down to 170 lbs, and Iam sure that I can do it. This is a brand new beginning, with lots of possibilities. So here is to new beginnings.
