I went to my 2 week post op and I am happy to say I am on stage 4 foods...the first thing I ate was turkey chilli!!!! hope all is well with everyone talk with you all soon

Just checking in to say I am feeling much better today, Scott my fiance has been great in most ways...(sometimes not so understanding but...) he goes to the store at a drop of a dime to get me stuff that I need or even want, The kids are the ones I feel bad abaout...I still cant pick up my little baby Emma she is just to heavy for me , the Dr. said nothing over 5 lbs. so I dont feel like risking anything so I try to love her as much as I can .  My mom has been great coming down to help me, my daughter and her boyfriend have been grocery shopping for me, my son helps when noone is here lifting the baby and playing with Madison and I am having an all around good day.  I am not in much pain at all just a little if I move to quick or bend to far, but that is to be expected. ...and for the constipation issue...I know TMI!!!...lol it has been taken care of. I weighed my self to day at work and by the scale there I am down 27 pounds !!! 2 weeks I will take it. well lots of love and (((HUGS)))) to my December buddies and everyone else...I am always thinking of you

I am finding it very hard for the past 2 days to get liquids in .  My protein is about 30 grams and my water is about 32 ozs.  I try but I am not hungry at all.  I went to GNC twice and they did not have an unflavored protin powder, I fidured with the 2-3 sugar free carnation instant breakfast that I do drink I could add a little more protein to it.  I am pretty much out of pain at this point when I am just standing there or sitting.  I have alot of pain if I bend or stoop down and I have a drs appointment on wednesday so hopefully I will find out if this is normal...im sure it is well I hope it is.  My incisions look better than what they looked like on thursday so I am ok about that.  A few meltdowns but they were over in no time...lol I dont even know what they were about, I think it was do to this ice storm knowing my parents are in their 70,s stuck with no water no heat and no electric, I took a drive last night with a friend to bring my dad some fire wood cause he was out it was a long ride was feeling a little bit uncomfortable, but I had to thats my dad.  Well I gues thats all I have to say today, it was a post to make me feel better so thanks for listening....

I feel like I can run a marathon, I cant beleive how much a day can do for a person.  I was off the internet yesterday because of the bad ice storm here in Massachusetts, I may have over did it in the cleaning department yesterday a few aches and pains but I slept good and off for another day.  I am excited to go see the nutritionist on Wednesday because I can finally go to a puree food this full liquid stuff is boring after a few days...I went as far as making ice cubes out of my protein shake so I could get a different texture, lol it was actually easier to get down...so there is a tip for anyone.  I felt like I was eating icecream.  I see how so many people have drs that go by so many different diets and I am jealous of some but I promised myself i wouldnt go against my drs orders for nothing...there is a reason why I have to do it this way. But for all my December buddies !! I cant wait to take this roller coaster ride of a life time with all of you!!  Talk to you all later.

I almost died when I got on the scale today I said I wasnt going to get on the scale until my 2 week check up but I had to go for an incision check and they made me....but 19.9 pounds down after 9 days.  well I ended up having 3 incisions slightly infected so they got all cleaned out by the dr. and now I hurt again.  I wasnt in pain anymore but now I am !! well hopefully it will go away. talk to you all soon !!!

LMAO !!! Well everything went as smooth as possible the day of surgery....except I had to start my period first thing in the morning !!! sorry guys if tmi! so the nurse told me it was pretty much normal for them she said it happens 8 out of 10 times stress related. I got my blood work done and they took my vitals, changed into my johnnie and we sat for a few..they gave me a drink of something started an iv and they gave me a shot and off to la la land I went, it was very fast going and I woke up and I dont remember a damn thing, lol I was in surgery for about 2 hours tops I think....I dont know lol I will have to ask my other half. the first day wasnt bad like i said i dont rember to much. I was on a morphine pump which was great every 6 seconds when I was awake i used it. I guess I talked to people and called some people lol and I dont rember ever talking to them so make sure you dont have phone numbers of people you hate because you will never rember what you said to them if they leave a phone near ya !!! the second day was ok also, I was sore I only hit a 10 on the pain level once and that was because I didnt hit the pump for hours when I was sleeping so a simle shot did the trick. All in all it wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be but let me tell you...I cried and cried wondering if I had made a big mistake and those feelings come and go but I know in the long run it will never be a mistake..I am up walking around it is hard to stoop down or hold my babies but I know it is only temporary and the pain is not a pain that you cant live with it is bothersome sometimes but just think...You will be on the losers side in a week. also it is hard to get your fluids in more so when you are home then at the hospital and your protein too. But all you can do is try your hardest and do your best and you will be fine. write back soon !!!! @-(------ Michelle

yikes...crying at the drop of a dime, I am so emotional, I hugged my babies and wanted to cry.  leaving in a half hour...the funny thing is- no one else is awake !!! see you all soon

well had my stress test today and I got cleared !! so it is off to surgery at 5:45 am I need to be in Boston for 8:30 well wish me luck see you all reall soon on the other side...lots of love to all of you !!!!

I am off to Boston for a stress test tomorrow morning at 6am...then I will be for sure if surgery is Tuesday.  Baby sitters are all in place work is going to have get by without me I have given up there it really doesnt matter what I do before I leave because none of it will be appreciated by anyone.  I am a food service director at a local nursing home and for me to leave I have to have all of the schedules done all of my ordering for at least the next 3 weeks and I have to have recepies for all of my meals that I cook because a few of the newer cooks are just starting out so they really dont have the experience.  BUT !!! the one good thing is my better half works as a cook there also so I can give him the run down of all things before he goes to work.   well wish me luck tomorrow I will surely need it and the funny thing about it all is I really am not nervous about the whole thing.  (I bet tomorrow will be different) see you all soon

Went into Boston for cardiac clearance and the Dr is sending me for a stress test to make sure and confirm their question of anything being wrong.  So 4 hours on Monday and then they say if all is set for Tuesday.....I am still nervous because I am still sick.  It has been 6 days with a sore throat and the drs. say it is a virus so hopefully the coughing will stop and the chest and head congestion will be gone. and I can finally get the show on the road it has been so long .....and this has been the longest two weeks of all...take care all !!
