Today I started the liquid diet as I wait for my surgery.  I tried all 3 flavors, strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla.  I absolutely hated the chocolate.  Strawberry was tolerable.  But overall, I can not stand the taste or smell of this stuff.  Oh my God, what if I can't get through this?  I'm trying to stay focused on the end result.   I'm trying to see the positive things that will come.  I'm allowed one small meal in lieu of the 5 shakes every day, so I ate tonight.  I practically felt like I was starving.  I wonder if this is in my head?  I surely am not gonna starve, but I was grumpy with my husband before I could get dinner ready and in my stomach.  It just couldn't happen faster!  Oh well, 12 more days to go. 

My surgery date is March 8. Received a call from insurance this past week, and now I am set.  I'm so nervous but excited too. 

Its been a long 6 months.  I have jumped through hoops for insurance approval and it was submitted today.  Now I wait.  What if I don't get approved?  I have went to support groups, a weight loss program, started an exercise regimen, visited a phychologist, and now I wait..... and worry.
