I've lost over 4 1/2 feet?!?!
Nov 23, 2009
HOLY SHIT! When I put it that way...it sounds almost freakish lol but as of last week I've lost a total of 93 lbs and 55 3/4 inches all over my body! I had my Mom take measurements the night before surgery and we took them off and on over the last 17months. I lost over 13 inches in just the first month...and lost over 10 inches over the past 6 months! It just proves that even though the scale slowed, my body kept losing.I am now 6 1/2 pounds from reaching my goal of losing 100 lbs by Christmas, and Dec 25th is my 18 month surgiversary! I am feeling pretty confident that I can do it.
I've gone from a size 26/28 and 3X to a size 16 and XL. My BMI has gone from a 53 to a 38.7. I went from no extra exercise to spending at least an hour at the gym 3 times a week. I went from eating way too much fast food to almost never going through a drive thru. Instead of ordering a Big Mac, I order unsweetened tea and make myself a salad. Even though I drank diet pop, I don't drink any at all now and I've limited my caffeine intake. I eat more protein now than pre WLS, and my hair and skin and nails look great. I make healthier choices and I concsciously decide to NOT eat bad snack foods. Yes I splurge every now and then, but I'm less likely to now.
If you are new and doubting yourself, don't...I doubted myself but I am proof that it can be done. If someone criticizes you for choosing the band and says you'll never do it, prove them wrong and go for gold! Believe me, if I can do it...you can too! I know I have a ways to go, but I'm working towards it and I AM STILL LOSING!
Here's exactly what I needed to see...to prove to myself that I can do it and to stay on track over the holidays!
