Well, I will make this short and Sweet; if you can call it that. I was not overweight as a child, actually at age 15 I was a size 10 and weighed 145lbs. So basically this is what happened. I had my daughter gained 40lbs throughout the pregnancy, not bad right? But then instead of working out, eating right to get those pounds off. I didn't. I stayed home for the first 2 years after my child's birth and I didn't watch what I ate.I did not work out and the pounds continued to increase. I remember when i weighed myself and the number staring back at me was 202lbs, I cried. And started the first of many diets and failed each time. I would lose then gain,  that vicious cycle a lot of us are very familiar with. OK so now fast forward... my top weight was 430lbs.  Wow! Even typing it seems incredible, that I allowed it to get that far. It took 29 years but I gain a total of 285lbs. Don't get me wrong, I did not sit somewhere and eat until now. I went back to work after the 2 years at home; went to school provided for my family. I have been bless with a incredible family. My daughter is my best friend and hero. No matter what, she is by my side. When I decided that I needed to do something drastic.  I thought I would not have to do this, because I could just try another diet. Right? Well I talked to my daughter about WLS and she was so supportive; and said well lets  gather as much information as possible and go from there. And we did. She and my husband went to every doctor appointment with me; and as a family we moved forward together.  I will tell you I love food, just like the next person. But you don't have to have a food addiction, to lose your prospective. It can happen to anyone of us.
