Michelle is feeling a little better today. She still is in a good deal of pain, but I told her about all of the prayers and good wishes everyone sent yesterday and it seemed to brighten her day! I would like to thank everybody for the sweet cards and letters, they do make a difference. Her doctor said she may be able to come home Thursday or Friday. She got up and went walking down the hall at the hospital today. Again, I would like to thank you all for the messages and cards. I will do my best to keep you updated until Michelle is able to do so herself. GENE --

Hello everyone! Michelle had her surgery this morning. She went in at 9:15a.m. and was done at 11:00a.m. The surgery went fine, except once the doctor got started he discovered that Michelle's gall bladder was diseased. He went ahead and removed it while he had her on the operating table. Needless to say, she is in a lot of pain and needs everyone's prayers and support. She wanted me to be sure and let everyone know that she has already got out of bed and stood for a little bit. Other than the severe pain and discomfort, it's safe to say the operation was a success. It's been a long day at the hospital,so I will close for now. I will continue to update until she comes home from the hospital. P.S. She is in room 114 @ St. Joseph's Hospital. Thanks for all the prayers and support! - Gene

Michelle, Just a note to wish you the very best with your surgery and recovery. Try not to get discouraged too bad, cause it really is not easy, but I know you can make it, and when you start noticing results, it will be worth it. Take care of yourself and your new little stomach. God bless you.
