Pam M.
My story:
Well I was always a chubby kid. I remember in high school I lost weight and was about 135 pounds and still thought I was fat. Compared to my friends I was fat, they were only 110 pounds or so.
Then I got pregnant with my first son and gained a whopping 65 pounds. Being pregnant was like a free license to eat and I did. I ended up losing 45 pounds after I had him but then I was pregnant again. You think I would of learned from the first time around that eating all that crap was not good, but no, I did it again and gained 55 pounds with him, not as much as the first time, but I still hadn't lost all that weight.
And so it went .. two more kids and many more pounds. The older I got the harder it was / is to lose the weight. And before I knew it I am categorized as "morbidly obese". Wow .. Wow..
And then there is my family history ... my Father died at 46 of a massive heart attack and my Mom died at 62 of a massive heart attack. My Mom was heavy (obese) for as long as I can remember. She was 4 foot 4 inches and weighed close to 400 pounds.
I know I don't want to die early like both of my parents. And if I kept up as I was that was inevitable.
So here is where my journey to become healthy begins. My new birthday 12/29/08!
